30 June
Half-Time
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.
Amos 9:13We are halfway through the year, and for many of us, we will be reviewing our vision, our mission, and our goals that we set.
Many of us set visions and, halfway through the path to achieving the vision, we lose sight and we start slackening in getting the vision fulfilled. Some may feel that the vision is unrealistic. Some may believe that six months is not sufficient time to complete the vision.
Firstly, I want you to remember that God specializes in the impossible. If God says, "My people perish for lack of vision," you can rest assured that He wants to be a part of your vision. So, when you feel like you're not achieving that vision, go to God. If you haven't asked God to intervene in achieving your vision, now is a good time to do so. And He can make your impossible situation possible.
Second, time does not rule God. Six months have gone by, but God still has sufficient time to meet your vision. You may think that there are only six months left in the year. But, to God, one day is as a thousand years. Our God is the Alpha and the Omega — He is the beginning and the end of everything we present to Him. In other words, if you have asked God to help you run with your vision, your vision is never over until God says it is over.
As we enter the second half of the year get ready to start reaping your harvest. Don't look back at the past six months. Rather, look forward to the next six months. Our future is always brighter when you have the King of kings on your side.
Be strong and of good courage. Continue steadfast in the LORD and do not lose sight of where you are heading. Your day is coming when you shall not be able to contain the blessings God has in store for you.
