Jesus Won the Ultimate Battle
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:1Jesus won the ultimate battle. And yes, Satan has not given up the fight yet; he continues to try and destroy the work of the cross and, more importantly, the resurrection of our victorious King.
So often we say, "Jesus died on the cross to take away my sins." But is that all? Is that the only reason Jesus came to this earth? Colossians 2 says, "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to the cross, and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."
Jesus defeated the works of the enemy. He destroyed sin, and He destroyed the grave. He made an open show of the forces of darkness. He went to the cross naked and ashamed so that you can stand guilt-free and unashamed.
You need to know that Jesus paid the ultimate price — He shed His precious blood for you. He had a crown of thorns pushed into His head, He was stripped; He was so terribly beaten that nobody could recognize Him. My friend, do not accept defeat in your life. Not when JESUS has already won the battle.
Satan will always try and defeat you — through sickness, through your finances, your family; whatever he can do to distract you and to keep you away from God. Remember that God uses these same trials and tribulations to strengthen you and mould you into the image that He created you in. These tests become your testimonies and shape you to greater areas of success in God and in your life.
Today, remember that God has made you the head and not the tail; above and not beneath. You have a heavenly host who witnessed Satan's defeat ready to fight on your behalf. You have the blood and name of JESUS on your side. You are victorious.
