Touching the Hem of His Garment

When she had heard of Jesus, she came in the press behind, and touched his garment, for she said, If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole.

Mark 5:27 to 28

The Bible speaks of the woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years. Here are some lessons to learn from this woman:

1. Focus on God, not on man. The woman spent twelve years of her life, together with all her lifes savings, on doctors and physicians, "and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse." Today, let JESUS be your physician.

2. Take your eyes off the problem and focus on Jesus. "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole." The woman faced death for going out in public (according to the law of the day); she touched a multitude of people, making them unclean, as she pushed through the crowd, desperate for her healing ... she took her focus off all that could happen to her and focused only on what she knew JESUS would do for her.

3. Be attentive to what God is telling you when you pray for breakthroughs in your life. What is God telling you to do to receive your breakthrough? For the woman with the issue of blood, she just needed to touch Jesus garment; for Naaman, it was dipping himself seven times in a river; for the blind man, Jesus used mud to heal him; four men had to remove the tiles off a roof for their friend to get his healing ... what is God telling you to do to get your breakthrough?

"We glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulations worketh patience, and patience, experience; and experience, hope." The woman with the issue of blood pushed through the crowd, she was fervent and effectual, she must have needed lots of patience to fight through the crowd thronging to Jesus ... but she persevered. Have a spirit of perseverance today, as you push your way through to victory in Christ Jesus. There is nobody, absolutely nobody else that can give you the beauty of a miracle other than JESUS CHRIST.
